SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER
To be responsible for assigned project development activities involving design, development and technical liaison with suppliers, engineers and site activities associated with the projects when allocated.
Interpret the client specifications to develop project Functional Design Specifications, Software Design Specifications, Test Specification and drawings in accordance with both the project documentation requirements and standard procedures, in a logical sequence to meet the timescales of the allocated projects.
Test the project implementations in accordance with the project specifications.
To execute the work in the most cost-effective manner and provide the best possible commercial return.
To keep up to date with the latest technology and review the manufacturing market for suitable equipment which will improve the company’s solutions to client requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Electrical engineering, preferably within an office environment.
Experience of LV or MV switchgear would be advantageous.
Educational background to at least degree standard in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
InTouch / WinCC, specifically ground up development of complete systems, with use of the internal scripting facilities of the SCADA package.
Power Management Systems.
Industrial Protocols (IEC61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, DeviceNet, Profibus etc).
Network infrastructure and management techniques.
Knowledge of 3 Phase power distribution and motors.
Knowledge of Industrial power control and protection.
